The Soul Stages

The age of a Soul is distinct from the physical age, and indicates what level of growth the Soul has achieved. As humans the body grows old and has a limited time to exist, but as the Soul is eternal, there are no limits.

Many will have heard the phrase, an Old Soul; when people meet a child who is serious and behaves more like an adult, some will say they have an Old Soul, or elderly people who behave immaturely who have Young Souls. So despite appearances, one can intuit the Soul Age of someone by spending time with them. It is hard not to be influenced by appearances, but the Soul is always evolving and has several stages of growth, and physical appearances and ages have no bearing on the Soul growth.

Like school, the Soul must achieve certain goals before it can move to the next phase and stage of Soul Evolution. Those that don’t may stay at a certain stage for as long as needed. There is no judgment, and as there is not concept of time the Soul can take as long as it needs to repeat any phase or stage.

Most people like to hear they are an Old Soul as it is likened to being wise, but that is not necessarily true. They may have more experience, but wisdom stems from knowing how best to use the experience and knowledge attained. Very often Old Soul children will pick up skills quickly or are able to gain knowledge much faster, because some maybe familiar to them, not necessarily because they are cleverer although it may seem that way.

Physically older people maybe Young Souls who are still trying to achieve their goals; it would be unwise to assume an older person is automatically wiser and more intelligent just through experience. Many of these Young Souls do not learn quickly and while they look older and can recall historical events of their time, it does not mean they will be Old Souls. They must progress through the stages.

Each stage has three steps, and each step has three phases (initial, intermediate, and transition or advanced). The Soul must do them in order, but may go back to any stage or phase it wishes. The transition phase is often one where there are more challenging incarnations as the Soul transitions to the next Soul Stage.
